Greetings Washington Middle School Parents, Teachers, Staff, Students and Friends of WMS!

I am excited about the year ahead and all that we will accomplish together!

I have already been formally introduced via email by our superintendent, but I want to connect with you and thank you for the warm welcome I have received. You will find that I am a transparent leader and at the core of my leadership is my intent to ensure that all students are afforded equitable opportunities. Our students spend more time at school than they do at home. For this reason, I feel a sense of urgency and responsibility for fostering what exposes all students to as many opportunities as possible as their young minds are developing, and their skills and talents are emerging. We really do not know who we have in our presence. We do not know what our students will accomplish in our lifetime. Let’s do our best to make school a place where students become self-aware, confident, and global-minded citizens.  

I am a new leader at Washington Middle School, but I am not new to administration. I ask that you join me as I assess our data, our strengths as well as our areas in need of improvement. We are fortunate to have great diversity at WMS. It is a diversity that reflects the real world in many ways. I look forward to your joining me as we work to strengthen partnerships, ensure inclusivity, and advance our academic progress.

I am looking forward to meeting you in person, seeing you at school events, and engaged as volunteers to support our great school. Upcoming Events:

Back-to-School Block Party from 5:30-7 PM on August 31. There will be free food, school supplies, haircuts, and nail tips.

6th Grade Orientation will be on September 5th from 12:30-4 PM. This will be a student only event.
