    Good evening, Washington Families,

Report Card Distribution: We will be distributing paper copies of student reports cards in advisory on Monday. Just a reminder that you can view your child's grades online at any time on the Source.

SBA Testing: Just a reminder that SBA testing begins May 13th. Please visit the school website for additional information.

Budget Restoration: The state legislature opted to life its levy lid. Seattle Public Schools and WMS benefited from this action. Thanks to all of you who worked hard to advocate over these last few months. WMS had .8 teachers, .5 cert/core (may be used for a certified position), .5 Assistant Principal, and .5 Librarian FTE restored to its budget. The BLT will be working on making revisions to the school's budget and sending a revision to staff for vote now that this money has been restored. More information on updates to the budget soon.

Buy a Yearbook and Distribution (A message from yearbook staff):
It's almost time for the school yearbooks to be distributed to students, and we have an event going on. If you or your student orders a yearbook between Monday May 6th, and Friday May 17th, the cost will be $25. After May 17, yearbooks will cost $30. How can you buy one? You or your student can order a yearbook at Mr. Lee’s office located two doors south of the main office. An alternative method for ordering a yearbook is online through SchoolPay. All you need to do is open SchoolPay in a web browser, quickly create an account if you haven’t already, and buy a yearbook with a selected payment method. Also, yearbook students will have a table during lunch on May 7, 8, and 9 to take yearbook orders. Check or cash is okay. Checks must be made payable to Washington Middle School. You can also email any questions to the yearbook team advisor at The WMS 2019 yearbook students thank you for supporting yearbook!

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather.
