    Seattle Parks and Recreation Community Learning Center (CLC)

    The Seattle Parks and Recreation Community Learning Center (CLC) at Washington Middle School aims to bridge the gap between communities and school, by creating programs that are culturally relevant and reflective of the community we serve.

    The WMS CLC offers the following seasonal programs:

    • Huskies Out of School Time
    • Parks Academy of Learning Summer Program

    Registration for HOST has opened! Registration forms can be found in the link (insert Registration form link) below. Paper form copies can be found in the attendance office, HOST office (Room 141), and in the Library. HOST
    registration forms can be turned in to Mr. Won in room 141 or via email (

    Programs run after school from 3:45pm-5:15 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday & 2:30pm-4:30 pm on Wednesdays. Snack and school bus transportation home are provided.

    Program Dates for the 2019-2020 School Year:

    • Session 1 Activities: October 14th - January 16th
    • Session 2 Registration: February 10th - March 2nd (or until programs fill) 
    • Session 2 Activities: March 2nd - May 21st
      • If registrations exceed class maximums, students will be placed on a waiting list
      • For bus requests starting the first day of programs, registration forms need to be submitted by 10am on Monday, September 30th. Bus requests submitted after that date will be filled as available.

    Registration for HOST classes begins February 10.

    • Forms should be returned in the yellow box in the WMS main office or room 141.
    • Students cannot attend HOST until their schedule has been confirmed by HOST Staff; Students will receive a HOST schedule in their Period 6 class confirming their classes.
    • Students cannot attend HOST the same day they return their form; HOST Staff needs at least one day to confirm student schedules and one week to confirm students are routed on the activity bus.
